New born babies are the future of mankind and how we treat them has a great impact on our lives. Each new born baby is shaped by the culture they are around and no one baby is raised the exact same as another baby. Early interactions with one’s mother shape the way a baby will be throughout its life. Depriving a baby of different motherly actions can have a profound impact on the baby’s livelihood. The attachment theory should continue to be researched because there is still much to learn about the development of young infants. This is displayed in, an experiment by Harry Harlow, chapter 6 of Opening Skinner’s Box titled â€Å"Monkey Love†. A hug has so much more meaning behind it than simply wrapping your arms around the person, it makes us feel safe and loved. A hug from a parent is one of the greatest things in the world because of the love behind it.
